DeepCalm is an Android app for sound playback, timers, alarms, mixes, light scenes, and breathing practices. This policy explains the data practices of the app and its Google services.
Data stored on your device
DeepCalm stores core sound choices, volume and timer preferences, saved mixes, alarm settings, light settings, practice settings, language choice, and access-state preferences locally on your device. The app does not provide a user account or operate an app backend that receives this local content.
Support communications
If you contact support by email, the developer and the email service provider receive your email address, message, attachments, and any device or app information you voluntarily provide. This information is used to respond to your request and troubleshoot the issue.
Support communications are normally kept only while the request is being handled and for up to 24 months afterward so that DeepCalm can follow up on recurring issues. The developer may keep a limited record longer only when required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, or a legal dispute.
Request deletion of your data
DeepCalm does not have user accounts or a developer-operated backend. To request deletion of information you sent to DeepCalm support:
- Email flashtranslator.support@gmail.com with the subject DeepCalm data deletion request.
- Send the request from the same email address used for the support conversation and identify the conversation or information to delete. Do not send a password, payment card details, or an identity document.
- DeepCalm will acknowledge the request and may ask you to confirm it by replying from that address. Deletion from the developer’s active support records will be completed within 30 days after confirmation, and you will receive a completion email.
The deletion covers the support email address, message text, attachments, and any app, device, or diagnostic information you voluntarily provided in that conversation. Limited information may be retained for the period required by law or while necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Residual copies held in the email provider’s backups are removed under that provider’s retention schedule.
Preferences, alarms, mixes, access state, and other app data stored only on your device are not held by the DeepCalm developer; delete them immediately by clearing DeepCalm storage or uninstalling DeepCalm. Advertising and purchase data processed independently by Google must be managed through Google’s privacy and account controls because the DeepCalm developer cannot delete data held only by Google.
Advertising
The app includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK to load full-screen ads and banner ads. Google states that this SDK automatically collects and shares IP address (which can be used to estimate approximate location), product interactions such as app launches, taps, and video views, diagnostic information, and device and account identifiers. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. This data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
Google’s disclosure for the Mobile Ads SDK is available at Google Play data disclosure. You can manage or reset your Android advertising ID in Android settings where available.
Purchases
DeepCalm uses Google Play Billing for purchases. Purchase processing and related information are handled by Google Play under Google’s policies. The app checks purchase entitlement through Google Play to restore access when available.
Network use and retention
Core sounds and local preferences are designed to work on the device. A network connection may be used by Google services to load ads and process or restore purchases. DeepCalm disables Android cloud and ADB backup for the app. On Android 12 and newer, some device manufacturers may still allow device-to-device migration during device setup; that manufacturer-controlled transfer is outside DeepCalm’s control. Local app preferences remain on your device until you clear app storage or uninstall the app. Google retains data it processes under its own policies.
Choices and controls
Paid PRO access removes advertising. You can clear local app data or uninstall the app through Android settings. Android permission controls are available in system settings. For advertising and purchase data, use the controls and information provided by Google.
Permissions
The app requests permissions needed for playback and night features, including notifications, vibration, alarms, foreground playback, and boot completion for restoring alarms. The smart timer uses the device accelerometer; it does not use the microphone or camera for that feature. Permission availability can be changed in Android settings.
General wellness only
DeepCalm provides general wellness, relaxation, sleep-sound, timer, light, and breathing-practice features. DeepCalm is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional about health concerns.
Third-party policies
Google services are governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Terms of Service.
